PTMS is always in the process of developing academic support programs for students. ALL support programs are free. Please note that most teachers are available to provide extra assistance on an appointment basis. The best way to contact your student’s teacher is via e-mail.
Academic Power Hour
Academic Power Hour is a time for students to work with teachers and high school tutors to get help on their homework. It is also a great time for students to work on their homework in a school setting. Students do not need to sign up. Academic Power Hour is held in the Learning Commons, Monday through Thursday, from 2:50-3:50 p.m. Please see the flyer below or contact your student's counselor for more information.

All of California has Access to HelpNow
The California State Library provides free online tutoring for California K-12 students, available through public libraries. Through HelpNow, live real-time homework assistance is available 24 hours a day by laptop, tablet, or phone from qualified tutors using state curriculum and standards.\
24/7 assistance is available in English and Spanish for Language Arts and Mathematics.
Every day between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm, assistance is available in core K-12 subjects in the following languages:
- English
- Spanish
- Mandarin
- Cantonese
- Vietnamese
- Tagalog
