Pacific Trails Middle School Academic Support Programs

PTMS is always in the process of developing academic support programs for students.  ALL support programs are free.  Please note that most teachers are available to provide extra assistance on an appointment basis.  The best way to contact your student’s teacher is via e-mail.

Academic Power Hour

Academic Power Hour is a time for students to work with teachers and high school tutors to get help on their homework.  It is also a great time for students to work on their homework in a school setting.  Students do not need to sign up.  Academic Power Hour is held in the Learning Commons, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Please see the flyer below or contact your student's counselor for more information.

SDUHSD Tutoring Program
In a continued effort to explore and develop creative ways to support SDUHSD students, our district has created the first-ever virtual SDUHSD Tutoring Program. This program is led by qualified SDUHSD content area experts capable of supporting students’ learning in an online environment.

SDUHSD Tutoring Program Schedules
Click on the schedule below to see current offerings. At this time, all tutoring offerings are virtual. We recommend bookmarking the link so you can find them easily!
Drop-In Support vs. Appointments
Students will see a variety of tutoring offerings on both a drop-in and appointment basis.
  - For drop-in support, where multiple students may be accessing a tutor simultaneously, click the button for the desired session on the schedule and it will open the Google Meet to access a tutor during the designated time.

  - For an appointment, please click on the “Appointment” button to access the Google Appointment Calendar. Tutoring appointments are available for 15-minute individual sessions. Please note that tutoring appointments must be reserved using the student’s email account.
